Follow these step-by-step instructions to set up your Nuwa Pen and start writing digitally.

1. Unbox Your Nuwa Pen

2. Charge Your Nuwa Pen

   1. Place your Nuwa Pen into the Charging Case by aligning the flat section with the charging contacts.

   2. Close the case and let it charge for at least 30 minutes before first use.

   
   📌 Tip: If your Nuwa Pen does not charge, check that it’s firmly seated in the case and aligned with the Pogo pins.

3. Download the Nuwa Pen App

   🔗 Download the Nuwa+ app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

   • Open the app and select Sign Up.

   1. Enter your details (Name, Email, Password, Country).

   2. Verify your email if prompted.

   3. Log in and proceed to device pairing.

   
   📌 Tip: Keeping your Nuwa Pen close to your phone ensures seamless syncing.

4. Pair Your Nuwa Pen with the App

   1. Open the Nuwa Pen+ app.

   2. Tap “Connect a Pen”.

   3. Select your Nuwa Pen from the list (e.g., “00-B0-D0-63-C2-26”).

   4. Confirm pairing when prompted.

   5. Wait for the connection confirmation.

   
   📌 Tip: If the pen disconnects and reconnects, this is normal behavior during the initial setup.

5. Start Writing & Syncing Notes

   1. Take out your Nuwa Pen and turn it on (it automatically lights up when removed from the case).

   2. Open a notebook and start writing—ensure a flat surface.

   3. The pen’s green LED indicates it’s capturing your handwriting.

   4. Open the Nuwa Pen+ app and check if your notes sync to the default canvas.

   📌 Tip: You can rename your canvas (e.g., “Personal” or “Work”) by tapping the icon (3 stacked dots) to the right of the canvas name in the app.

6. Adjust Your Writing Preferences

   1. If your handwriting looks too thick or too thin, go to Settings > Stroke Width and adjust it.

   2. To convert handwritten notes to typed text, tap on a note and select Convert to Text.

   3. Try different digitization models (e.g., AI-based, MyScript) by tapping on the three stacked dots in the top right for the best results.

   
   📌 Tip: If the digital copy conversion isn’t perfect, tap Report Issue (e.g. the button with a !) to in the top right to help improve the model.

7. Rename Your Nuwa Pen (Optional)

   1. Open Settings in the Nuwa Pen+ app.

   2. Tap Edit next to your pen’s name.

   3. Enter a new name and save it.

   4. Forget the old pen name in Bluetooth settings and reconnect in the app.

   
   📌 Tip: The name change only takes effect after re-pairing your Nuwa Pen.

8. Explore Additional Features

   1. Use the Search function to find past notes.

   2. 💡 Ask AI-powered questions about your notes.

   3. 📤 Share handwritten or converted text via email, PDF, or messaging apps.
